TAKE NOTICE that, pursuant to section 6-a of the New York General Municipal Law, a Resolution establishing a capital reserve fund entitled “Village of Chatham Sewer Reserve Fund” was adopted by the Village of Chatham Board of Trustees on October 16, 2023. Such Reserve Fund is established to accumulate and set aside three hundred ten thousand dollars ($310,000) for specific capital expenditures necessary for the Village sewer system, of which two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is to be reserved for an ultraviolet light system and sixty thousand dollars ($60,000) is to be reserved for a sewer plant generator. The adoption of such Resolution to establish the Sewer Reserve Fund is subject to a permissive referendum, and the establishment of such Sewer Reserve Fund shall take effect November 16, 2023, unless, in accordance with Article 9 of the New York State Village Law, within thirty days after the adoption of the Resolution to establish such Sewer Reserve Fund there be filed with the Village Clerk a petition protesting against its adoption and requesting that it be submitted to the electors of the Village. Desiree Kelleher, Village Clerk.
