A municipal budget has two basic purposes:
1) To establish, prioritize, and finance municipal services and programs; and,
2) To set the amount of money to be raised by property tax (what is referred to as the “tax levy”).
These budget documents present information about the revenues and appropriations for the administration and operation of the Village of Chatham. Its organization and content is designed to provide information about the Village Budget in a way that is understandable and easy to find.
The current Adopted Budget is posted here, as required by law. An archive of older Adopted Budgets is maintained for reference and comparison.
