PUBLIC NOTICE, VILLAGE OF CHATHAM, COLUMBIA COUNTY, NEW YORK.  NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR PROPOSED RESOLUTION ENTITLED “A RESOLUTION PROPOSING THE ADOPTION OF AMENDED LEVELS OF REAL PROPERTY TAX EXEMPTIONS FOR SENIOR CITIZENS UNDER REAL PROPERTY TAX LAW SECTION 467.”  PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Chatham shall hold a public hearing on Monday, February 12, 2024 beginning at 6:55pm at Tracy Memorial Hall, 77 Main Street, Chatham, NY 12037 for the purpose of taking public comment on a proposed resolution entitled “A Resolution Proposing the Adoption of Amended Levels of Real Property Tax Exemptions For Senior Citizens Under Real Property Tax Law Section 467.” The purpose and effect of the proposed Resolution is to amend the scaled rates of the senior citizen property tax exemption at specified income levels. At such public hearing, all interested persons shall have the opportunity to be heard.
